James Mosher
As the only two 16-year-olds among the same subgroup of friends with drivers licenses, James and the groom met as sophomores in high school as rival drivers. Yes. As rivals. Bitter rivals -- and the loathing ran deep. But after about a year, those dark times passed and the two ended up working the same-part time job at Krogers in Centerville.After graduation from high school, they went to different colleges in separate regions of Ohio. However, friendship between them grew during the summer and winter breaks of their university years when they would meet back in their hometown and discuss such timeless topics as Lord of the Rings, politics, Tool (the band), history, the relative effectiveness of using keyboard or mouse in first-person shooter games, and the nature of humanity. They also shared a number of awesome concerts together as well as a road trip to Oklahoma to visit their friend Jeremy.
James can currently be found cavorting with his comrades in the Ukraine where, as a US Peace Corps community development volunteer, he teaches English to university students in the city of Luts'k in north-western Ukraine. He also participates in some local community projects and has gotten quite proficient at using the language of the communists.
Outside of his Peace Corps commitments, James can be found reading non-fiction (especially if it's about Thomas Paine), getting into history-themed TV shows and movies, traveling, reading the news, taking pictures of himself imitating statues, drinking more vodka in two years than the rest of his life combined, and debating the finer points of politics.
